name admin 11-08-29 21:53

Try to follow he below if you fail to install due to compatibility error in installation of USBISP driver in Windows XP service pack 3. If you unzip attached CP2103_WINXP_SP3.zip, an144 folder and CP210x_VCP_Win2K_XP_S2K3.exe will appear.

After changing PID in Windows XP of other computer, install attached driver in your Windows XP SP3.

1. First, you have to change PID into 0xEA60 using attached an144sw.zip. ==> You must change PID in XP of other computer. In case of PID change, program changing only PID that you want to 0xEA60 with inserting USBISP into USB accompanied. At this time, it is possible to change only if USBISP ver3 driver for Windows XP must be installed in PC with XP.

2. Install attached driver for Windows XP SP3 in PC with XP which you want to use.
The reasons are followings. It is available if you use formal driver from silabs, manufacturer of USB chip because Windows XP SP3 has to now use WHQL Qualified driver. For this reason, you have to do so because it is possible to set silabs driver only if you have to change PID to 0xEA60 which originally is set in manufacturing the chip. For reference, current condition seems not be such in all SP3. And then, install AVR Sutido and install ICCAVR.

Other installation instructions are the same as installation in user manual of USBISP in FAQ.

For installation of AVR Studio, we recommend you to use V4.17 and higher.

☞ Please be careful in case of change of PID. If you write wrong PID, you cannot use the chip any more.

Thank you.
