Introduction to AD-USBSERIAL ( USB TO SERIAL Conversion board)

* USB TO SERIAL Conversion board
* Both TTL Level (5V), RS-232C Level (±12V) signals supported
- TTL Level (3.3V, 5V) signal output is through the 5045-4 connector (MCU, directly used from logic)
- RS232C Level (±12V) signal output is through the 5267-3 connector and 9 pin D-SUB
* Serial communication control signals available (After removing loopback Resistance)
- The default setting contains the loopback resistance, so only 3 pins namely RXD, TXD and GND is required
for communication
- RI / DTR / CTS / RTS / DSR / DCD available for use in handshake mode
* USB 5V power available (If UART 4 pin connector is used)
* ON/OFF control of GPIO 4 pin possible (Example provided for Windows programming)

- To use Flow control (Handshakemode), the loopback resistance should be removed as shown in the picture below.

How to Use Software

- Installation of USB driver




- Download AD-USBSERIAL driver available at data room in NEWTC website to install.

- If you connect AD-USBSERIAL to USB port on computer, you can search the device. N.T.C USB Serial Port will be found in port device in systemhardwaredevice administrator in my computer as show in above figure.
The result here is searched to be COM6, but ensure to check before using AD-USBSERIAL because the search result can be differ depending upon each computer or connected USB port.

You can use this module if you connect to port as verified above after running terminal program.





- If you use creating PC application software, write or read data with COM port as set above.
